EUROPEAN MEET-UPS
The Deal4EU project held European meet-ups where young people from different cities collaborated and learned from each other. These events provided a platform for participants to take action towards making a positive impact in their communities and beyond. Learn more about these events and programs below.
- February 2022SofiaFebruary 2022Sofia, Sofia, BulgariaFebruary 2022Sofia, Sofia, BulgariaOur meet-up in the Bulgarian capital focused on the role that media and messaging could play in addressing the climate crisis and building the Green Deal. Participants worked with journalists and experts to discuss how we currently talk about climate and Europe in the media and how to improve.

- May 2022Leeuwarden, Leeuwarden, NetherlandsIn 2022, we received an international delegation in Leeuwarden for a program focusing on the local interventions we could use to bring a Green Europe closer to citizens. We teamed up with the project BOSK, an ambitious art project bringing hundreds of trees into the city center.

Using the theory of gamification, we tried to bring sometimes complex ideas like the circular economy to life.

The participants had the chance to explore the city, meet their fellow participants, and follow a program of debates, brainstorming, and an intergenerational workshop with older citizens of Catral.
